Week Endings: Ben-again, ex tats and Instagram break-ups
There's a whole-lotta talk about exes, a few laser confessions and a pause to say, "Gawwwdamn!, Jennifer Lopez is one smoking hot single mama." Perhaps the 44-year old singer-actress-A-lister is doing something right for herself by loving the younger gents and moving on from relationships on the regular, and we should just stop criticizing her for being "too-Elizabeth Taylor" in her romantic ways. Ahem.
But before we ogle at Jenny, let's read about an endless-quote ending between an up-and-comer (this is the nice way to say it, right?) and her rapper former-love.

Single mama Christina Milian - the other Xtina and riveting social media lady on The Voice and also credited with roles in movies Bring It On, Ghosts of Girlfriends Past and Love Don't Cost a Thing - has broken off her engagement to rapper and label-owner Jas Prince after a two-year relationship. She announced the split as we do, on Instagram, with a photo quote, as we also do, that read: "There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. Surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of life, getting back up is living." And then, because all the quotey-quote words weren't taken yet, Milian added her own commentary: "Morning inspiration. Turn your life around and do all the things that make you happy. It's your life to live." Here's to Christina's happy with four-year old daughter Violet, her wine company, her hookah brand, her docu-series, her acting and singing gigs, and ongoing tweeting/backstage hosting for the judges in the red chair.

JLo takes a bit of the credit for former fiance Ben Affleck's style, telling Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live that she told him to trash the Jams and dress more like a movie star. OK, there was no mention of Jams. But I feel like maybe Affleck found his soulmate in the other Jennifer because she lets him dude out in them when he's at home with the kids. Jennifer of the Lopez told Cohen with a little winky-smile that Affleck did have some suave style moments when they were together. And you know what? She's right. As are you and I when we take credit for our exes' current wardrobe, which does not include the somehow-mysteriously-disappeared St. Patrick's Day boxers with the stretched out and safety-pinned elastic waist and that burnt sienna polo shirt his mom gave him for fraternity rush week.
